Crohn's Disease Can't Keep Her Down

For my Biography assignment, I would like to tell the story of Dr. Lauren Moran. Moran works for Slippery Rock University where she oversees Student Organizations, CORE, Slippery Rock University Student Government Association, and Leadership Abroad. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education with her Doctorate of Education, Higher Learning Management. Throughout her career, she has accomplished many things while working for a variety of organizations and colleges. However, these successes didn't come without adversity. Since her diagnosis at 19, Moran has had a long battle with Crohn’s Disease. Despite this, she has accomplished a number of half-marathons and triathlons since 2015. These races are grounds for celebration for anyone, but they especially highlight Moran's strength and resiliency. Lauren Moran is a strong and accomplished woman who should be celebrated as a role model.
