If you ask anybody about the college experience, they’ll probably mention things like academics, clubs, and networking, but the topic of drugs and alcohol is sure to come up as well. Despite being a ‘dry campus’ Slippery Rock University sees its fair share of drug and alcohol violations. The Police Blotter published by the campus newspaper, The Rocket, displays the weekly activity of the campus police. It’s not uncommon for each edition to feature violations around campus and the students charged with these crimes. Considering the multiple drug violations and the number of alcohol violations that have occurred during just the first six weeks of the Spring 2022 semester alone, the purity of the SRU campus is questionable.
Note that all instances in this outline have been published by The Rocket.
